Dwight and Lucia and their dog Finn have been travelling in their UNICAT MAN expedition truck since 2018, through Europe, Africa and heading into Asia.
We left the social norms of a 9to5 job, swapped it for the daily nomadic lifestyle that we feel so fortunate to live now. We thought we were unique, until we started moving and found the community of fellow ‘overlanders’ or ‘full time travellers’ that pursue the journey rather than the destination, whether by foot, bicycle, motorbike, camper or boat. Many are recently retired, either in their 50s or 60s, but lots are young families or solo travellers, many sustain their lifestyle by working on the road and all of them are an inspiration.
