{"id":12583,"date":"2021-11-22T19:39:38","date_gmt":"2021-11-22T18:39:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/?page_id=12583"},"modified":"2025-09-04T17:46:35","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T16:46:35","slug":"history","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/fr\/history\/","title":{"rendered":"Historique"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;histoire d&#8217;UNICAT<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Les premiers pas de l&#8217;actuel constructeur et r\u00e9alisateur de v\u00e9hicules d&#8217;exp\u00e9dition remontent \u00e0 l&#8217;ann\u00e9e 1978.<br>Tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t, Thomas Ritter, n\u00e9 en 1958, s&#8217;est enthousiasm\u00e9 pour les v\u00e9hicules et la technique, si bien qu&#8217;il a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d&#8217;acheter un v\u00e9hicule apr\u00e8s avoir obtenu son permis de conduire.<br>Il avait le choix entre une Porsche 964 \u00e0 restaurer et un Unimog U404 hors d&#8217;usage, qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 auparavant par l&#8217;arm\u00e9e allemande comme v\u00e9hicule sanitaire.<br>Les deux v\u00e9hicules \u00e9taient bruyants, peu confortables et chers \u00e0 entretenir, mais l&#8217;Unimog \u00e9tait plus amusant et promettait plus d&#8217;aventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS001.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">C&#8217;est ainsi qu&#8217;a \u00e9t\u00e9 emprunt\u00e9 le chemin qui devait mener du premier v\u00e9hicule d&#8217;exp\u00e9dition construit par l&#8217;entreprise \u00e0 l&#8217;actuelle UNICAT GmbH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En 1980, l&#8217;Unimog a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconstruit dans la cour de l&#8217;entreprise des parents. La caisse a \u00e9t\u00e9 rehauss\u00e9e \u00e0 l&#8217;aide d&#8217;une construction en aluminium afin d&#8217;obtenir une hauteur suffisante pour se tenir debout. L&#8217;am\u00e9nagement int\u00e9rieur a ensuite \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 selon ses propres plans. Le remplacement du moteur \u00e0 essence par un moteur diesel 300 D a permis d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer encore l&#8217;aptitude du v\u00e9hicule \u00e0 l&#8217;exp\u00e9dition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS002.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La construction artisanale a fait ses preuves lors des premiers essais en Europe. L&#8217;Unimog a montr\u00e9 ses qualit\u00e9s de v\u00e9hicule d&#8217;exp\u00e9dition lors d&#8217;un premier voyage tout-terrain en Islande en 1981. Cependant, la caisse \u00e9tait lourde, ce qui \u00e9tait un inconv\u00e9nient sur les terrains difficiles, et elle \u00e9tait mal isol\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS003-rotated.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS004.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS005.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Au cours de ce voyage en Islande, l&#8217;id\u00e9e de concevoir et de construire une toute nouvelle superstructure en panneaux composites en fibre de verre, utilis\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque presque exclusivement pour les structures frigorifiques, a d\u00e9j\u00e0 surgi. La construction et l&#8217;am\u00e9nagement de la premi\u00e8re cabine en panneaux composites en fibre de verre ont \u00e9t\u00e9 effectu\u00e9s selon les propres plans, ce qui \u00e9tait une nouveaut\u00e9 \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9poque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS006.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">D&#8217;autres voyages ont suivi, notamment en \u00c9gypte et au Maroc, qui ont toujours permis d&#8217;optimiser le propre v\u00e9hicule et d&#8217;am\u00e9liorer la construction des caisses dans la pratique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS007.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS008.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Le temps \u00e9tait venu pour Thomas Ritter de fonder sa premi\u00e8re entreprise en 1982 : &#8220;Thomas Ritter Kunststoffe&#8221; et de fournir les premi\u00e8res caisses en PRV pour les v\u00e9hicules d&#8217;exp\u00e9dition \u00e0 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Geo-Service.<br>Pendant ses \u00e9tudes de g\u00e9nie m\u00e9canique, Thomas Ritter fabriquait chaque ann\u00e9e 3 \u00e0 4 superstructures pour la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Geo-Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS009.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS010.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En 1985, un nouveau projet fut lanc\u00e9, propre et innovateur. La transformation d&#8217;un MAN KAT1 4&#215;4 en v\u00e9hicule d&#8217;exp\u00e9dition, qui \u00e9tait \u00e9galement un ancien v\u00e9hicule militaire.<br>Avec ce v\u00e9hicule, on a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois une carrosserie avec des parois lat\u00e9rales inclin\u00e9es, des pentes de toit, un \u00e9l\u00e9vateur pour motos ainsi qu&#8217;une porte battante \u00e9lectrique.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS011.jpg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS012.jpg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS013.jpg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">La demande toujours plus importante et la taille croissante des v\u00e9hicules ont pouss\u00e9 Thomas Ritter \u00e0 restructurer son entreprise.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">En 1990, il a fond\u00e9 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 &#8220;UNICAT Fahrzeugbau GmbH&#8221; et a transf\u00e9r\u00e9 ses locaux dans une nouvelle usine plus grande. Les b\u00e2timents offraient suffisamment de place pour les modifications des ch\u00e2ssis de v\u00e9hicules et la fabrication de caisses personnalis\u00e9es. Le nouveau d\u00e9partement de construction et l&#8217;administration ont trouv\u00e9 leur place dans les nouveaux bureaux.<br>Ainsi, les nombreuses id\u00e9es et innovations pouvaient d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre concr\u00e9tis\u00e9es avec le background technique n\u00e9cessaire.<br>Tandis qu&#8217;auparavant, les ch\u00e2ssis UNIMOG servaient presque exclusivement de base, une superstructure int\u00e9gr\u00e9e avec toit de couchage pour un MAN KAT 8&#215;8 &#8211; pour laquelle un ensemble de plancher sp\u00e9cial sans torsion a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 &#8211; a vu le jour pour la premi\u00e8re fois.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS014.jpeg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>1991 &#8211; Fabrication de la premi\u00e8re cabine avec extension lat\u00e9rale adapt\u00e9e aux exp\u00e9ditions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/unicatexpeditionvehicles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/HIS015.jpg?w=700&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">1992 &#8211; Thomas Ritter participe au Rallye Paris &#8211; Dakar jusqu&#8217;au Cap en tant que navigateur dans l&#8217;Unimog de service de l&#8217;\u00e9quipe GECO Raid. Le parcours couvrait 12427 km et traversait la France, la Libye, le Niger, le Tchad, la R\u00e9publique centrafricaine, le Cameroun, le Congo, l&#8217;Angola, la Namibie et l&#8217;Afrique du Sud. Bernhard S\u00f6llner est nomm\u00e9 CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2008 &#8211; Le premier MAN TGA 8&#215;8 quitte le nouveau site de production.
